Musician K (Casey Affleck) lives with his wife M (Rooney Mara) in a small suburban house. One day K perishes in a car accident. When he comes to himself in the morgue, he realizes that he has become a ghost. Now he wears a long sheet covering his face and body, and wanders around the house where he used to live.
